This quarter there was a very informative presentation by Pam Dornbusch from the Shasta Regional Community Foundation Center for Nonprofit Resource, "Nonprofit Boards of Directors: Structure, Roles, and Responsibilities". Some of the topics covered in Pam's presentation were: a board's responsibilities in setting an organizations strategic plan for direction, roles and responsibilities between the board and chief executive and other members, a board's need for information and knowledge needed to steer the organization toward a future filled with change and uncertainty. Comprehensive handouts and checklists were provided to the chamber members.
