Best Companies to Work for in Shasta County 2008

This was the second year that we at Smart have put on the Best Companies to Work for in Shasta County - this year partnering with Lake College - to recognize those private sector employers that offer the best:
  • a great working environment,
  • on-going training or advancement opportunities for employees,
  • and superior overall experience for customers.
  • The three winners (shown at left) were announced and prizes awarded at the Breakfast Awards Ceremony on April 22nd, featuring motivational speaker Jack Schultz.

The winner of the Team Spirit Award was Dr. Steven Ahrens, DDS. and staff.

Two companies and one lucky employee were winners when their names were chosen in our special prize drawings: Wonder Metals and American Medical Bill Review both won 80 hours of classroom training donated by Lake College.

Jessica Hutt of Riverside Eye Care Professionals won the tented iron gazebo donated by Phoenix Spas.
Attendees (a full house!) also enjoyed a great breakfast by WinRiver and musical entertainment by the talented Sequoia Strings.
