The GED test is given once monthly provided there is sufficient need.
Testing and registration is at 5:00 pm at the Shasta Adult School GED Testing Center Room #10, located at 590 Mary Street, Redding, CA.

How do I register?
The Registration fee of $125.00 must be paid prior to the Registration Date.
You may pay the testing fee and pre-register at Shasta Adult School, located at 590 Mary Street, Bldg. #70, Redding, CA 96001, Tuesday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm.
Checks, cash and money orders are accepted for payment.
IMPORTANT: You are not guaranteed a Registration or Testing date until you have pre-paid the testing fee. Please call (530) 245-2626 for Registration & Testing date(s) availability.
*Registration meetings are held in room 10, beginning promptly at 5:00 pm and last approximately 1 hour.
All test candidates must pre-pay their testing fees and complete their Registration prior to testing - there are no Exceptions!
Due to changes in the test and the use of a specific calculator, it is strongly recommended that individuals prepare for the test prior to registering.
How long does the test take?
The test is scheduled for two consecutive evenings. Testing is done from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Typically, test results are available within 2-3 weeks of completing the test.
How much will the test cost?
The complete test battery costs $125.00. There are 5 subjects in the test battery. Re-testing fees are $25.00 per subject.
Can I cancel my test?
Yes. However, to be eligible for a full-refund, you must cancel prior to 12:00 noon on the Monday preceding your test date. You may request a refund or reschedule your test. If you reschedule your test and are a no-show you will not be eligible for a refund of your testing fee.
Candidates who are unable to attend their assigned test date and give notice by noon on the day of the test will be rescheduled at a later date. Candidates who do not show up on their assigned test date and fail to give notice will be charged a $20.00 rescheduling fee if they want to reschedule. The second no show without notification will result in a forfeiture of the $125.00 testing fee.
